Student Council Establishment The Student Council was established in the year 2022 with the purpose of representing the voice of students and strengthening student participation in institutional activities. Since its formation, the Council has served as a bridge between students and the administration, ensuring smooth communication and active involvement in academic and co-curricular development. Coordinator Details The Student Council functions under the guidance of Ms Sufiya Anjum, who serves as the HoD of Arts. The coordinator oversees the planning and execution of council activities, monitors student initiatives, and ensures that all programs are conducted in an organized and disciplined manner. The Council typically consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Cultural Secretary, Sports Secretary, Sports Representatives and Class Representatives. HUDA NATIONAL ARTS, COMMERCE AND SCIENCE DEGREE COLLEGE D.J HALLI, BANGALORE – 560045 ANTI – RAGGING CELL Topic: “Say No to Ragging – Creating a Safe Campus Environment” DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM INTRODUCTION Ragging is a serious issue that undermines the safety, dignity, and well-being of students, particularly newcomers. It can lead to long-term psychological trauma and disrupt the academic and personal development of victims. In response to the need for increased awareness and preventive measures, Huda National Arts, Commerce and Science Degree College organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Program on 13th Aug 2025. The event aimed to sensitize students about the legal, psychological, and social consequences of ragging while promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and safety on campus. OBJECTIVES As part of the institution’s ongoing efforts to promote a safe and inclusive campus environment, Poster Painting and Group Discussion events were organized on 13th Aug 2025 to spread awareness about the issue of ragging and encourage students to take a strong stand against it. 1. Poster Painting Competition The event commenced at 13th Aug 2025 with an enthusiastic participation of students from various departments. The theme of the poster painting was “Say No to Ragging”. Participants creatively expressed their thoughts using powerful imagery, slogans, and vibrant colors to highlight the negative impact of ragging and promote a culture of respect and harmony. A number of students took part in the competition. The posters were judged based on creativity, relevance to the theme, visual impact, and message clarity. The best entries were displayed on campus notice boards and common areas to further spread the message. 2. Group Discussion on Anti-Ragging Following the poster event, a group discussion session was held with selected students from different departments. The topic of the discussion was “Ragging promotes bonding among students myth or reality?” Participants shared their views, personal experiences, and suggestions on how to effectively eliminate ragging and foster a supportive campus environment. OUTCOME AND CONCLUSION The events were successful in creating awareness and encouraging dialogue around the issue of ragging. Students actively participated and showed a strong commitment to maintaining a ragging-free campus. The organizing committee thanked all participants and reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive educational environment for all. BUSINESS QUIZ
Topic: “Business and Commerce Knowledge Quiz Competition” DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM INTRODUCTION The Commerce Department of Huda National Arts, Commerce and Science Degree College organized a Quiz Competition on 17th November 2025 for the degree students. The primary goal of the event was to enhance the learning experience by promoting awareness and knowledge related to business, commerce, current affairs, entrepreneurship, and general finance. Quiz competitions play a crucial role in shaping students’ analytical skills, presence of mind, and competitive spirit. This event provided a platform for students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical and exciting manner. OBJECTIVES EVENT STRUCTURE As part of the academic enrichment activity, the Quiz Competition was conducted in Three rounds, each focusing on different aspects of commerce and general knowledge. Round 1: General Knowledge Questions related to business awareness, current economic affairs, and market trends were asked. Round 2: Brand and Logo Identification Participants identified well-known business logos and brands. Round 3: Rapid-Fire Round OUTCOME AND CONCLUSION Teams answered quick short questions within a limited time to test speed and accuracy. A total of 5 teams participated in the first round, and 2 teams advanced to the final round. The event was a grand success and received an enthusiastic response from the participants and audience. Students showcased excellent knowledge, communication skills, and competitive spirit throughout the competition. The Commerce Department expressed gratitude to the management, principal, faculty members, and volunteers for their continuous support. “COMMERCE CARNIVAL” Date : 27/08/2025 DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM INTRODUCTION The Commerce Department organized a vibrant event, Commerce Carnival, which served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit. The carnival featured 48 unique food stalls prepared by the students, along with engaging games that added a fun-filled element to the event. The program created an atmosphere of enthusiasm, collaboration, and learning beyond the classroom, while also encouraging students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. OBJECTIVES 1. To foster entrepreneurial skills among students by giving them hands-on experience in planning, organizing, and managing stalls. 2. To encourage teamwork, creativity, and innovation through the preparation of diverse dishes and interactive games. 3. To provide a platform for students to develop marketing, communication, and customer service skills. 4. To strengthen the bond between students and faculty through a collaborative and enjoyable learning experience. 5. To enhance student’s confidence and prepare them for real-world business challenges. OUTCOME AND CONCLUSION The Commerce Carnival was a grand success, reflecting the hard work, talent, and enthusiasm of the students. The event not only entertained the participants and visitors but also imparted valuable lessons in entrepreneurship, leadership, and management. The aim was to promote interdisciplinary learning and encourage students to explore scientific facts in a creative way. Objectives To enhance awareness about the Sun as the center of our solar system. To explore interesting scientific and historical facts related to the Sun. To develop presentation skills and teamwork among students from different departments. Highlights of the Session Students from each department presented unique facts about the Sun, blending scientific, historical, cultural, and technological perspectives. BA students highlighted myths, legends, and historical significance of the Sun in different civilizations. B.Com students discussed the economic and environmental aspects, such as solar energy and sustainability. B.Sc students presented the scientific phenomena related to the Sun, including solar flares, nuclear fusion, and its role in climate. BCA students explained the use of simulations, animations, and technology to study solar patterns and data. In her speech, she greeted the Judge faculty members, and students, and highlighted the significance of the Quiz competition as a platform to enhance their thinking capacity & boosting general knowledge . INVESTITURE CEREMONY The ceremony then proceeded with the announcement of the newly elected Student Council members. Ms. Sufiya Anjum, the Student Council Officer, called out the names of the office bearers and members, while the audience applauded to acknowledge their achievements and upcoming responsibilities. PRINCIPAL CONFERRING THE BADGES Thereafter, the Principal honoured the council members by presenting them with badges and sashes. This symbolic act not only recognized their new roles but also reminded them of the trust and expectations placed upon them to uphold discipline, dedication, and leadership within the institution VOTE OF THANKS The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Misba of 3rd yr BCom. In the address, heartfelt gratitude was expressed to the Principal, faculty members, and distinguished guests for their guidance and encouragement. Appreciation was also extended to the organizing committee, participants, and students for their enthusiastic involvement, which contributed to the grand success of the ceremony. Anchoring World Mental Health Day, an annual global observance intended to promote awareness of mental wellbeing, was celebrated in our institution on 10th October 2025 with a thoughtful sequence of activities. Qirath Naath The program began with anchoring by Mahtab and Hafsa of 2nd Yr BCA, who guided the event with confidence and clarity. The session opened with a recitation of Qirath by Aliya of 1st Yr BCA, followed by a Nath presented by Afifa Aliya of 1st Yr BCA, creating a calm and respectful atmosphere. Welcome Speech.
