    INTRODUCTION:

    To enhance students’ understanding of advanced scientific research and technology, Huda National Arts, Commerce and Science Degree College organized an educational trip to the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. The visit aimed to provide exposure to cutting-edge research, inspire innovation, and bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application. 

    OBJECTIVES:

    The Primary Objectives of the IISc visit were:

    1. To explore the research facilities and ongoing projects at IISc. 
    2. To interact with scientists and researchers. 
    3. To gain insights into career opportunities in scientific research. 
    4. To understand the latest advancements in science and technology. 

    Visit Highlights

    1. Introduction Session:

    The visit began with an orientation session conducted by IISc faculty, providing an         overview of the institution’s history, research contributions, and academic programs. 

    2. Laboratory Visits: 

     Students visited several state-of-the-art laboratories, including: 

     – Centre for Nano Science and Engineering – Demonstration of nanotechnology applications. 

     – Supercomputer Education and Research Centre (SERC) – Insights into high-performance      computing. 

    3. Interaction with Scientists:

    A Q&A session was conducted with researchers, where students asked about research methodologies, challenges in scientific exploration, and career prospects in science and technology. 

    4. Campus Tour:

    The students explored the beautiful IISc campus, visiting various lab and various research centres. 

    Key Learnings and Outcomes

    1. Exposure to real-world research and its applications in various fields. 
    2. Understanding of how interdisciplinary approaches contribute to scientific progress. 
    3. Motivation for students to consider research as a career path. 
    4. Networking with experts and researchers for future academic collaborations.

    INTRODUCTION:

    The ECO TECH INNOVATION – I   2024, organised by the department of Science, was conducted on 21st September 2024. The event was aimed at fostering innovation, creativity and collaboration among students. It included competition such as making model using Electronic-Waste and Environmental-Waste.

    OBJECTIVES:

    The Primary Objectives of the ECO TECH INNOVATION – I were:

    1. To encourage participation in Eco-Technical activities.
    2. To foster a spirit of team work and creativity.
    3. To provide a platform for students to showcase their talents in technical, non-technical and environmental areas.

    Events and Activities:

    • Inauguration of ECO TECH INNOVATION – I.
    • Making models using Electronic and Environmental waste.
    • Prize distribution for winners.

    INTRODUCTION:

    To promote knowledge-sharing and enhance technical skills among students, the Department of Computer science at Huda National Arts, Commerce and Science Degree College organized an IT Quiz Event on 31st August 2024. This event was aimed at fostering a competitive yet collaborative atmosphere for students to showcase their understanding of various IT domains such as Programming Languages, Networking Concepts, Operating System and so on

    OBJECTIVES:

    The Primary Objectives of the IT Quiz were:

    1. To test and broaden students’ knowledge in the field of Information Technology.
    2. To encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through an interactive platform.
    3. To promote teamwork and a spirit of healthy competition.

    Quiz Format:

    The Quiz consisted of two rounds:

    1. Main Rounds: General IT Fundamentals and IT knowledge (MCQ Questions).
    2. Final Round: Debugging and Guess the output, Advanced IT questions ( programs and short-answer questions).

    CONCLUSION

    This event was a grand success, fulfilling its objective of stimulating intellectual curiosity in the field of IT among students. The event was well received and we look forward to organising similar events in the future to promote IT education and innovation.

    INTRODUCTION:

    In today’s interconnected digital world, cyber security is of paramount importance. With rising cases of data breaches, identity theft, and malware attacks, the Computer science Department organized a Cyber Security Awareness Program to equip students and staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to safeguard themselves online.

    OBJECTIVES:

    The primary objectives of the program were:

    1. To raise awareness of various cyber threats.
    2. To provide practical tips on secure online behavior.
    3. To encourage participants to adopt better data protection measures.

    TOPICS COVERED:

    1. Types of Cyber Threats
    2. Best Practices for Online Safety
    3. Data Privacy
    4. Social Engineering Attacks
    5. Incident Response

    OUTCOME:

    The program successfully increased awareness of cyber security threats among participants. Many attendees reported plans to implement stronger password practices and adopt more secure browsing habits.

    CONCLUSION:

    The Cyber Security Awareness Program met its objectives of educating and empowering participants. Given the positive feedback and outcomes, the program can be considered a success, and further similar initiatives should be encouraged.

    This session was a huge success and saw the participation from over 90 students, Principal and faculty members and it was highly informative.

    INTRODUCTION:

    On February 28th, India celebrates National Science Day, commemorating the discovery of the Raman Effect by Dr. C.V. Raman, and the 2025 theme is “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Viksit Bharat”. 

    National Science Day (NSD) is an annual event in India observed on February 28th. It recognizes and celebrates the contributions of scientists and the importance of science and technology in everyday life. 

    National Science Day serves as a reminder of the crucial role science and technology play in solving global challenges and improving lives, inspiring young minds to pursue scientific careers and promoting scientific awareness. 

    OBJECTIVES:

    The primary objectives of the program were:

    1. To promote scientific awareness
    2. To recognize scientific achievements.
    3. To encourage scientific temper and innovation.
    4. To empower Indian youth
    5. To highlight the role of science in everyday life

    TOPICS COVERED:

    1. Evolution of Science
    2. How is science related to commerce?
    3. Theories and contributions of our Indian scientists.
    4. Fun Quiz
    5. Recent advancements in the field of Science
    6. Inventions of Indian Scientists

    OUTCOME:

    The program successfully increased the awareness of how science helps in our daily lives. It encouraged students to learn, explore, and use science for a better future. Encouraged the students to think rationally, embrace scientific thinking, and pursue scientific research and innovation. Also, the program helped the students understand the importance of the collaboration between scientists and students. 

    CONCLUSION:

    The Significance of National Science Day is not just about remembering a great discovery but also about understanding how science helps in our daily lives. We have witnessed a vibrant display of scientific talent, from ground-breaking research presentations to engaging quizzes that have sparked curiosity in young minds.

    The participants carried the spirit of scientific curiosity and innovation with them, with the pledge to continue their journey of discovery, knowledge, and progress.

    This session was a huge success and saw the participation of over 90 students, the Principal, and faculty members, and it was highly informative.

    ABOUT NATIONAL SPACE DAY EVENT  

    On 23rd August, 2024 Huda National Degree College celebrated “National Space Day”. The program was organised by the Department of Science.

    National Space Day holds a major role for India as it celebrates the country’s advancements in space exploration and the contributions of ISRO to the global space community. The 2024 National Space Day, to commemorate the success of soft and safe landing of Chandrayaan-3. The event was followed by screening documentaries highlighting the advancements of ISRO over the past decades in order to encourage the students. Feedbacks were also received from the students after the event.

    At an outset, the event served as a platform to:

    • Highlight the benefits of space technology in areas such as communication, weather forecasting, navigation, and disaster management.
    • Acknowledge the dedication and hard work of ISRO scientists and engineers who have propelled India to the forefront of space research.
    • Inspire the young engineering students to explore and pursue a career in space science and technology.
    • Increase awareness about the importance of space exploration and its impact on daily Life.

    The Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Huda National A&C&S Degree College organized a One Day Free Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on 8th April 2025. The FDP aimed to provide participants with fundamental knowledge and practical insights into the emerging fields of AI and ML, which are transforming industries, education, and research globally.

    The program witnessed active participation from faculty members, researchers, and academicians across different institutions.

    Ms.Fathima delivered an engaging session highlighting the core concepts of AI & ML, applications in real-world scenarios, and pedagogical approaches for teaching AI effectivel

    OBJECTIVES:

    The Primary Objectives were:

    1. Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and its significance in today’s digital era.
    2. Overview of Machine Learning algorithms and their applications.
    3. Discussion on how AI & ML are shaping education, healthcare, and business sectors.
    4. Interactive Q&A session where participants clarified their doubts.
    5. Guidance on incorporating AI concepts in academic curricula and research projects.

    CONCLUSION

    The One Day Online FDP on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was a successful academic initiative by Huda National A&C&S Degree College. The session delivered by Ms. H. Fathima was highly informative and interactive, enabling participants to gain valuable insights into the growing domain of AI & ML.

    The FDP not only enhanced professional development but also encouraged faculty members to adopt modern technological approaches in their teaching and research practices.
