                               Presentations on Amazing facts of Sun

Introduction

A special presentation session on Amazing Facts about the Sun was organized, in which students from different departments — BA, B.Com, B.Sc, and BCA — enthusiastically took part. The aim was to promote interdisciplinary learning and encourage students to explore scientific facts in a creative way.

Objectives

To enhance awareness about the Sun as the center of our solar system.

To explore interesting scientific and historical facts related to the Sun.

To develop presentation skills and teamwork among students from different departments.

Highlights of the Session

Students from each department presented unique facts about the Sun, blending scientific, historical, cultural, and technological perspectives.

BA students highlighted myths, legends, and historical significance of the Sun in different civilizations.

B.Com students discussed the economic and environmental aspects, such as solar energy and sustainability.

B.Sc students presented the scientific phenomena related to the Sun, including solar flares, nuclear fusion, and its role in climate.

BCA students explained the use of simulations, animations, and technology to study solar patterns and data.

Participant Response/Feedback

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing their creativity through charts, models, and digital presentations. The audience found the session informative, and it sparked curiosity about the Sun’s role in human life and scientific research.

SPELL BEE COMPETITION

The Spell Bee Competition was conducted on 30 October from 9.00 am to 10.45 am with the objective of encouraging BA students to strengthen their language proficiency and enhance their vocabulary. A total of 25 students actively participated in the event.

Rules and Guidelines followed during the Competition

1. Each participant was given words to spell aloud.

2. Participants were eliminated upon the first incorrect spelling.

3. The competition was conducted in multiple rounds, progressing in difficulty.

4. The decision of the judges was final.

The event proceeded smoothly with gradually increasing difficulty levels that tested the attentiveness and accuracy of the participants. The competition was judged by Ms. Sumaiya from the BCA Department, who ensured fair and transparent evaluation.

After several engaging rounds, the first three winners were selected based on their consistent and correct spelling performance. The competition proved to be a valuable platform for students to enhance their confidence and linguistic ability.

2. Aina Marza – 1st Yr BA – 2nd Prize

3. Shaista – 3rd Yr BA – 3rd Prize

Overall, the Spell Bee Competition was a well organized and productive event that successfully met its aim of promoting stronger language skills among BA students.

               Online Webinar                                     Think Fast and Speak Smart

Introduction

A special session by Ms. Najma Shariff on Think Fast and Speak Smart was conducted on 31st  July 2025. The focus of this session was on the creative and effective use of idioms in everyday conversations, academic discussions, and professional communication.

Objectives

To familiarize participants with commonly used idioms.

To highlight the role of idioms in making speech impactful and engaging.

To encourage quick thinking and smart articulation in spoken English.

Highlights of the Session

The resource person explained the origin and meaning of idioms, linking them to real-life contexts.

Participants were encouraged to use idioms in sentences and share them with the group.

Quick activities and fun exercises helped participants practice “thinking on their feet” while speaking. Emphasis was placed on how idioms can enhance creativity, clarity, and confidence in communication.

Participant Response/Feedback

The session was highly interactive. Participants expressed that they found the idiom-based activities engaging and practical. Many shared that they felt more confident in using idioms in both formal and informal conversations.

REPORT ON SOLO QUIZ COMPETITION

QIRATH

The Programme was started with Melodious Qirath (the art of reciting the Quran with proper pronunciation, melody, and rhythm) by 3rd Year BA Std Fareeha Fauzain.

WELCOME SPEECH

Following this, Shaista of 3rd BA delivered the welcome address. In her speech, she greeted the Judge faculty members, and students, and highlighted the significance of the Quiz competition as a platform to enhance their thinking capacity & boosting general knowledge .

 SOLO QUIZ COMPETITION

The competition was conducted in multiple rounds, including general knowledge, current affairs, science and technology, and a rapid-fire round. Each round was designed to test the participants’ presence of mind and depth of understanding. The quizmaster engaged the teams with challenging yet interesting questions, which kept both the participants and the audience actively involved.

RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT

After a close contest, the team from 3rd Year BA Masiha Anjum secured the first place. The winner will be awarded certificate and prize by the Principal.

VOTE OF THANKS

 The competition concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms.Sufiya Anjum, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, faculty members, and students for their support and cooperation. The event proved to be both educative and entertaining, inspiring students to broaden their horizons of knowledge.
