Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC)

Establishment

The Equal Opportunity Cell was established in 2022 as part of the institution’s commitment to uphold dignity, fairness, and equal access for all. In alignment with national policies on inclusive education, the EOC responds to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds, including differently-abled individuals, economically disadvantaged learners, first-generation students, and those from historically marginalized communities.

Coordinator Details

The Equal Opportunity Cell is currently coordinated by Ms Rumana Noorein, HoD of B.COM. The Coordinator of the Equal Opportunity Cell plays a pivotal role in ensuring inclusivity, equity, and non-discrimination within the institution. Appointed by the management, the Coordinator acts as a link between students, faculty, administration, and statutory bodies to promote equal access to education and institutional resources.

Aims of the Cell

1. To ensure equal access to education and institutional resources for all students and staff.

2. To promote inclusivity, diversity, and non-discrimination on campus.

3. To support students from disadvantaged and marginalized backgrounds.

4. To create a barrier-free and accessible learning environment.

5. To identify and address academic, social, and psychological barriers.

Objectives of the Cell

1.To ensure equal opportunities in education and institutional activities for all.

2.To prevent discrimination and promote fairness and social justice.

3.To support students from disadvantaged and underrepresented groups.

4.To provide a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment.

5.To identify and remove barriers to learning and participation.

6.To promote accessibility in infrastructure and academic practices.

7.To create awareness about equal opportunity policies and student rights.

8.To offer guidance, counseling, and mentoring support.
