BUSINESS QUIZ

HUDA NATIONAL ARTS, COMMERCE AND SCIENCE DEGREE COLLEGE D.J HALLI, BANGALORE – 560045 COMMERCE DEPARTMENT Topic: “Business and Commerce Knowledge Quiz Competition” DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM INTRODUCTION The Commerce Department of Huda National Arts, Commerce and Science Degree College organized a Quiz Competition on 17th November 2025 for the degree students. The primary goal of the event was to enhance the learning experience by promoting awareness and knowledge related to business, commerce, current affairs, entrepreneurship, and general finance. Quiz competitions play a crucial role in shaping students’ analytical skills, presence of mind, and competitive spirit. This event provided a platform for students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical and exciting manner. OBJECTIVES EVENT STRUCTURE As part of the academic enrichment activity, the Quiz Competition was conducted in Three rounds, each focusing on different aspects of commerce and general knowledge. Round 1: General Knowledge Questions related to business awareness, current economic affairs, and market trends were asked. Round 2: Brand and Logo Identification Participants identified well-known business logos and brands. Round 3: Rapid-Fire Round OUTCOME AND CONCLUSION Teams answered quick short questions within a limited time to test speed and accuracy. A total of 5 teams participated in the first round, and 2 teams advanced to the final  round. The event was a grand success and received an enthusiastic response from the participants and audience. Students showcased excellent knowledge, communication skills, and competitive spirit throughout the competition. The Commerce Department expressed gratitude to the management, principal, faculty members, and volunteers for their continuous support. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the coordinator, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to building a lively academic environment.  “COMMERCE CARNIVAL”

HUDA NATIONAL ARTS, COMMERCE AND SCIENCE DEGREE COLLEGE D.J HALLI BANGALORE-560045 DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE  “COMMERCE CARNIVAL” Date : 27/08/2025 DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM INTRODUCTION The Commerce Department organized a vibrant event, Commerce Carnival, which served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit. The carnival featured 48 unique food stalls prepared by the students, along with engaging games that added a fun-filled element to the event. The program created an atmosphere of enthusiasm, collaboration, and learning beyond the classroom, while also encouraging students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. OBJECTIVES 1. To foster entrepreneurial skills among students by giving them hands-on experience in planning, organizing, and managing stalls. 2. To encourage teamwork, creativity, and innovation through the preparation of diverse dishes and interactive games. 3. To provide a platform for students to develop marketing, communication, and customer service skills. 4. To strengthen the bond between students and faculty through a collaborative and enjoyable learning experience. 5. To enhance student’s confidence and prepare them for real-world business challenges. OUTCOME AND CONCLUSION The Commerce Carnival was a grand success, reflecting the hard work, talent, and enthusiasm of the students. The event not only entertained the participants and visitors but also imparted valuable lessons in entrepreneurship, leadership, and management. By combining learning with enjoyment, the carnival achieved its objective of holistic development and showcased the spirit of the Commerce Department. The experience gained will surely inspire students to take part in more such initiatives with greater zeal and creativity in the future. The aim was to promote interdisciplinary learning and encourage students to explore scientific facts in a creative way. Objectives To enhance awareness about the Sun as the center of our solar system. To explore interesting scientific and historical facts related to the Sun. To develop presentation skills and teamwork among students from different departments. Highlights of the Session Students from each department presented unique facts about the Sun, blending scientific, historical, cultural, and technological perspectives. BA students highlighted myths, legends, and historical significance of the Sun in different civilizations. B.Com students discussed the economic and environmental aspects, such as solar energy and sustainability. B.Sc students presented the scientific phenomena related to the Sun, including solar flares, nuclear fusion, and its role in climate. BCA students explained the use of simulations, animations, and technology to study solar patterns and data. Participant Response/Feedback The session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing their creativity through charts, models, and digital presentations. SPELL BEE COMPITION

A total of 25 students actively participated in the event. Rules and Guidelines followed during the Competition 1. Each participant was given words to spell aloud. 2. Participants were eliminated upon the first incorrect spelling. 3. The competition was conducted in multiple rounds, progressing in difficulty. 4. The decision of the judges was final. The event proceeded smoothly with gradually increasing difficulty levels that tested the attentiveness and accuracy of the participants. The competition was judged by Ms. Sumaiya from the BCA Department, who ensured fair and transparent evaluation. After several engaging rounds, the first three winners were selected based on their consistent and correct spelling performance. The competition proved to be a valuable platform for students to enhance their confidence and linguistic ability. Spell Bee Competition winners were 1. Fareeha Fauzain – 3rd Yr BA  – 1st Prize 2. Aina Marza – 1st Yr BA – 2nd Prize 3. Shaista – 3rd Yr BA – 3rd Prize Overall, the Spell Bee Competition was a well organized and productive event that successfully met its aim of promoting stronger language skills among BA students. The focus of this session was on the creative and effective use of idioms in everyday conversations, academic discussions, and professional communication. Objectives To familiarize participants with commonly used idioms. To highlight the role of idioms in making speech impactful and engaging. To encourage quick thinking and smart articulation in spoken English. Highlights of the Session The resource person explained the origin and meaning of idioms, linking them to real-life contexts. Participants were encouraged to use idioms in sentences and share them with the group. Quick activities and fun exercises helped participants practice “thinking on their feet” while speaking. Emphasis was placed on how idioms can enhance creativity, clarity, and confidence in communication. Participant Response/Feedback The session was highly interactive. Participants expressed that they found the idiom-based activities engaging and practical. Many shared that they felt more confident in using idioms in both formal and informal conversations. WELCOME SPEECH Following this, Shaista of 3rd BA delivered the welcome address. In her speech, she greeted the Judge faculty members, and students, and highlighted the significance of the Quiz competition as a platform to enhance their thinking capacity & boosting general knowledge .  SOLO QUIZ COMPETITION The competition was conducted in multiple rounds, including general knowledge, current affairs, science and technology, and a rapid-fire round. Each round was designed to test the participants’ presence of mind and depth of understanding. The quizmaster engaged the teams with challenging yet interesting questions, which kept both the participants and the audience actively involved. RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT After a close contest, the team from 3rd Year BA Masiha Anjum secured the first place. The winner will be awarded certificate and prize by the Principal. VOTE OF THANKS  The competition concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms.Sufiya Anjum, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, faculty members, and students for their support and cooperation. EVENT DETAILS: K.S. Rangasamy Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Tiruchengode, Namakkal District      INVITE INTRODUCTION: The Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Huda National A&C&S Degree College organized a One Day Free Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on 8th April 2025. The FDP aimed to provide participants with fundamental knowledge and practical insights into the emerging fields of AI and ML, which are transforming industries, education, and research globally. The program witnessed active participation from faculty members, researchers, and academicians across different institutions. Ms.Fathima delivered an engaging session highlighting the core concepts of AI & ML, applications in real-world scenarios, and pedagogical approaches for teaching AI effectivel OBJECTIVES: The Primary Objectives were: Key Outcomes 1. Faculty members enhanced their awareness of AI & ML fundamentals. 2. Participants understood the scope of AI tools and techniques in research and classroom teaching. 3. The session emphasized the future scope of AI & ML in career building and industry needs. 4. Networking opportunity for participants with resource persons and experts in the field. 5. REPORT ON VISIT TO IISc.

EVENT DETAILS: INTRODUCTION: To enhance students’ understanding of advanced scientific research and technology, Huda National Arts, Commerce and Science Degree College organized an educational trip to the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. The visit aimed to provide exposure to cutting-edge research, inspire innovation, and bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application.  OBJECTIVES: The Primary Objectives of the IISc visit were: Visit Highlights 1. Introduction Session: The visit began with an orientation session conducted by IISc faculty, providing an         overview of the institution’s history, research contributions, and academic programs.  2. Laboratory Visits:   Students visited several state-of-the-art laboratories, including:   – Centre for Nano Science and Engineering – Demonstration of nanotechnology applications.   – Supercomputer Education and Research Centre (SERC) – Insights into high-performance      computing.  3. Interaction with Scientists: A Q&A session was conducted with researchers, where students asked about research methodologies, challenges in scientific exploration, and career prospects in science and technology.  4. Campus Tour: The students explored the beautiful IISc campus, visiting various lab and various research centres.  Key Learnings and Outcomes Conclusion The educational trip to IISc was a highly enriching experience that provided students with invaluable insights into advanced scientific research. It not only broadened their knowledge but also inspired them to think critically and innovatively. The 2024 National Space Day, to commemorate the success of soft and safe landing of Chandrayaan-3. The event was followed by screening documentaries highlighting the advancements of ISRO over the past decades in order to encourage the students.
